Barry Sidery-Smith with Sir Stirling Moss at Goodwood
We at the MG Owners’ Club are extremely sad to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of MG racing legend Barry Sidery-Smith. Barry and his famous Le Mans MGB have become well known and greatly loved in MG circles and his exploits on and off the track were frequently reported on the pages of Enjoying MG. Regulars to the Le Mans Classic and the Goodwood Revival will have seen Barry in action and enjoyed his company and listening to his insights into the world of historic motor racing. Barry has spent a lifetime in competition starting out with an Austin Healey and then the Works MGB that originally competed at Le Mans crewed by Paddy Hopkirk and Andrew Hedges.
Our thoughts are with Barry’s wife Pam, daughter Heidi and all the members of his family as well as his many friends at this sad time.
